2022年春の研修会は、講演者にUCLAの林（高倉）あさ子先生をお迎えして、オンライン(Zoom)にて開催いたしました。

Workshop Presentation Summary

このワークショップの目的は、参加者のみなさんが今までの教材作りやアセスメントの形式を見直すことによって、労働時間を軽減し、効率の良い働き方ができるようになることです。これまでのワークショップでは理論と実践を融合し、様々な教授法や評価法が紹介され、多くの学びがありました。今回のワークショップでは、参加する先生方がこのワークショップのあとに具体的に何を得ることができ、何ができるようになるかに焦点をあてて構成しています。

このワークショップで、参加者の方には、以下のことをしていただきます。

仕事の振り返り1: 教材作成、授業の準備、宿題の採点、テストの採点の何に時間がかかるかを話し合う
仕事の振り返り2: どんな評価法を使っているか、その評価法で問題があるか、別の評価法を取り入れられるかをグループで話す
評価法の見直し：テスト問題作成と評価法に一貫性をもたせることによって、短時間で問題・課題を作成する方法を学ぶ
教材の作成練習（同じ型 /素材を使って変えてみる）
テスト問題作成練習（型を使って変えてみる）

そしてワークショップ参加後、参加者の方は、以下のことができるようになります。

紙と鉛筆を使うテストとオンラインテストの特色が理解できる
「型」を使ってテストや教材が作成できるようになる
同じ内容を様々な年齢層や言語レベルに応用できる方法を身につける

「使い回しの法則」が理解できるようになる
時短を意識しながら仕事ができるようになる
楽しみながら授業の準備ができるようになる

Biography of the Presenter

Dr. Asako Hayashi-Takakura （林（高倉）あさ子先生）

Asako Hayashi-Takakura is a lecturer of Japanese at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research focuses on the language development of Japanese-English bilingual children, curriculum development for Japanese heritage language speakers, and computer-assisted language learning (CALL). Dr. Hayashi-Takakura earned her MA in Japanese pedagogy from Columbia University and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) degree from Boston University. She was selected as a member of the curriculum evaluation committee of the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center of the Department of Defense in 2013. She has served as a member of the evaluation committee of the Advanced Global Initiative since 2015. She has been developing Japanese-English bilingual language/cultural exchange programs for the World Family’s Institute of Bilingual Science in Japan. She has organized the Japanese speech contest for high school students of the Los Angeles region since 2018. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she has extensively given workshops for Japanese language teachers with synchronous and asynchronous delivery methods. Her recent presentations include “Pivoting to Remote Assessment: Development of On-Line Based Tests” at the AATJ professional development workshop in April 2020, “Journey From Learners to Authors Through Original Creative Writing” at the AATJ annual conference, Spring 2021, and the invited panel presentation at the Society for Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language Global Network virtual conference in December 2021.
